"Over 28,000 individuals have crossed the border since the first refugees from Karabakh began arriving in Armenia in two days."
This information was reported on the official page of the Armenian government.
As of the evening of September 26th, Armenia had received 28,120 displaced persons from Karabakh. Among them, approximately 21,000 had been registered.
Over 3,200 people without accommodation options have been provided with housing.
Previously, there were reports that the road from Stepanakert (known as Khankendi in Azerbaijan) to the Armenian border town of Kornidzor was congested, and some people had been waiting in queues there for more than a day.
Azerbaijan announced the completion of its operation in Karabakh on September 20th. Baku pledged to facilitate the exit of Armenians from Karabakh who would disarm.
