The state enterprise Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine (AMPU) participated in the Polish-Ukrainian Business Forum organized by the Ministry of Development and Technology of the Republic of Poland and the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.
During the panel “Transport Corridors, Transport, Logistics,” AMPU Deputy Head Vyacheslav Kharkavenko presented the strategic directions for the development of Ukrainian sea ports amid martial law. He emphasized that despite systematic shelling by the Russian forces, Ukraine’s sea ports ensure the uninterrupted operation of the Ukrainian Maritime Corridor. Since its opening in August 2023, over 5,000 vessels have been processed, and 136 million tons of cargo handled, of which 83 million tons were grain. Ukrainian products are delivered to markets in 54 countries worldwide.
Special attention was given to achievements in digitizing port processes. In particular, the DocPort system has been implemented, automating key logistical operations and increasing port efficiency.
AMPU, together with the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, continues efforts to attract foreign investment, implement infrastructure projects, and seek international partners for the restoration and modernization of port infrastructure.
“Some projects we implement with our own funds, but the scale of destruction requires international support for rapid recovery. We invite Polish partners to join in developing the Ukrainian port industry,” emphasized Vyacheslav Kharkavenko.
