In the European Union, there is discussion about the possibility of using frozen Russian assets to enhance Ukraine's military potential.
This was stated by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, that
"Russian frozen assets, we agreed that these assets can be used to support Ukraine."
According to Borrell, they can also be used to prevent the collapse of Ukraine. He clarified that this means enhancing Ukraine's military potential or its defense technological base.
"But for this, we still need an agreement of the member states, we need a common basis of agreement, a proposal for a joint financial security policy, and for now, we continue to work at the initial stage to reach an agreement on this issue," he added.
