Canada will deliver all 50 Armored Combat Support Vehicles (ACSV) to Ukraine by the end of 2025, eight of which have already been handed over, Canadian Minister of National Defence David McGuinty announced during a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group ("Ramstein").
"The Minister confirmed that eight Armored Combat Support Vehicles (ACSVs) have been delivered to Poland and are now on their way to Ukraine. All 50 ACSVs, which Canada committed to providing Ukraine in 2023, are expected to be delivered by the end of this year," the statement on the Canadian government’s website reads.
McGuinty emphasized that Canada will continue working with allies and partners to provide Ukraine with the military assistance needed for its defense.
Since February 2022, Canada has allocated nearly CAD 22 billion in aid to Ukraine, including over CAD 6.5 billion in military assistance. Canada also participates in multinational efforts to train pilots, as well as to service and support Ukraine’s F-16 fighter jets.
Additionally, Canada is involved in four capability development coalitions under the "Ramstein" format, including:
- the Air Force Capability Development Coalition
- the Armored Vehicle Capability Development Coalition
- the Drone Capability Development Coalition
- the IT Capability Development Coalition
