The head of Czech intelligence has stated that the growing alliance between Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea presents a serious threat to global peace. According to him, the coordinated actions of these countries are aimed at undermining global stability and supporting Russia’s war against Ukraine, as reported by Yenisafak.
The head of the Czech Counterintelligence Service (CIS), Michal Koudelka, reported that North Korea is supplying Russia with ammunition and military resources, Iran is providing drones, and China is supplying technology.
Koudelka noted that underestimating this threat is dangerous, as the alliance is leading to a new phase of geopolitical tension. He emphasized that the coordinated efforts of these countries, including technological and military support, are intensifying the war in Ukraine and pose a risk to global security.
This opinion was supported by Otakar Foltýn, the director of strategic communications for the Czech government. He stated that Russia is working to undermine European unity and is pursuing a separate strategy in each country, aiming to isolate states and downplay the seriousness of its expansionist policies.
Foltýn stressed that this strategy is intended to destabilize the EU and weaken its ability to counter the aggressive policies of the Kremlin. He warned that disagreements between European countries could play into Russia’s hands.
Additional threats are posed by a recent agreement between Russia and North Korea. In June of this year, Pyongyang and Moscow signed a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement, which provides for military assistance in the event of aggression by third parties. The agreement was signed during Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to North Korea, underscoring the deepening cooperation between the two countries.
