The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence and the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy have signed a memorandum on strategic partnership and cooperation, the Intelligence Agency reports on Telegram.
The document was signed by Intelligence Agency Chief Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov and NaUKMA President Serhiy Kvit.
It is noted that the main goal of this initiative is to combine the practical experience of military intelligence with Mohyla’s academic expertise in order to better study Russia.
Through joint research within the Russian Studies programme, the Department of International Relations at NaUKMA, in partnership with the School of Political Analysis, plans a systematic study of Russian society, state institutions, propaganda methods, and modes of thinking.
“To defeat the enemy, you need to know how he thinks and acts. We are ready to share our unique experience with Mohyla. Science and intelligence will work together to strengthen the country’s defence potential,” Budanov said.
The cooperation between Intelligence Agency and the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy includes joint research, educational activities, and knowledge exchange. This format will prepare a new generation of specialists who deeply understand the Russian State and can effectively counter its influence in all spheres.
“We have created a certificate programme ‘Russian Studies’ to study Russia as a threat. An enemy you do not know is the most dangerous. That is why studying it is part of our contribution to the common victory. Cooperation with Main Intelligence Directorate will make this research systematic and as effective as possible,” Kvit emphasized
