ReBuild Ukraine continues to bring together those who invest in the future. And the future we are creating together is worth every effort.

Denmark is backing a vital upgrade to the water supply system in Pervomaisk, Ukraine, through a grant agreement with Impact Fund Denmark and Nefco.

This €4 million project (part of Nefco’s Green Recovery Programme) will reconstruct 8.8 km of underground pipeline, ensuring reliable access to clean drinking water for 35,000 residents, including 6,650 internally displaced persons.

Expected results:

  • • 726 MWh/year reduction in electricity use
  • • 1.2 million m³/year water savings
  • • 581 tonnes/year CO₂ emission reductions

Implementation: Dec 2025 – Dec 2026.

It is precisely these projects that show that reconstruction is not just about numbers and reports, but about real changes that people feel. When international partners, communities and institutions work together, solutions emerge that make cities more sustainable, modern and safer.
