Denmark is sending a military donation worth 3.7 billion Danish kroner to Ukraine. The donation includes tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, artillery ammunition, drones, and small arms.

The government has decided to send another donation package of military equipment to Ukraine. Donation Package XIII includes artillery, BMP-2 tanks, T-72EA tanks, as well as armored engineering and recovery vehicles. The latter is financed in cooperation with Germany.

This equipment and types of ammunition are in demand by Ukraine and are crucial for Ukraine to maintain its land military capabilities.

Donation Package XIII also provides support for NATO's Comprehensive Assistance Package and the EU's joint procurement of artillery ammunition.

"I met with my Ukrainian colleague in Kyiv on Tuesday and was updated on the situation in Ukraine and Ukraine's needs in the fight against the Russian invasion. It is based on the ongoing discussions with the Ukrainians that the thirteenth and extensive Danish donation package has been put together," said Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.

"Today's donation confirms that Ukraine can count on Denmark's unwavering support in their fight for freedom. This is crucial support that enables Ukraine to continue the fight. The donation also sends an important signal to both Ukraine and Russia that we do not lose focus, even though much of the world's attention these days is directed toward Israel and Palestine," said Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen.

In response to Ukraine's request for additional 155mm artillery ammunition, Donation Package XIII also includes the donation of a larger quantity of propellants and fuzes from the Danish Defense's own stocks. The Danish Defense Command has assessed that this donation will not have immediate consequences for the Defense's organization.

Donation Package XIII is financed by the Ukraine Fund, which the government established in March 2023 with the support of SF, DD, LA, K, RV, DF, and NB.
