Ukraine has planned a trillion hryvnias for the army's maintenance in the next year's budget. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this during the Yalta European Strategy (YES) meeting held in Kyiv on September 9-10.
The head of the Government noted that the wartime economy consists of several parts. First of all, it provides for economic and financial stability, and the Government is working on this with the help of international partners.
"We have several dozen priority projects for our economy. The key ones are the support of the agricultural sector and the support of the military-industrial complex. We pay great attention to the development of energy, especially "green", digitalization, development of IT infrastructure, support of small and medium-sized businesses," the Prime Minister emphasized.
Denys Shmyhal reminded that the Government has launched a grant support program for micro, small and medium-sized businesses and will continue to develop it together with partners.
"After the war, the structure of the Ukrainian economy will change. A large number of enterprises are currently destroyed. With 7 million internally displaced people and 5 million refugees, we will need to create many jobs quickly. This is possible only in small and medium-sized businesses. We will move in this direction and create all the necessary conditions. Support for Ukrainian manufacturers can become our national philosophy," the Head of Government emphasized.
