During a meeting in Kyiv, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and Swedish Minister for International Development Cooperation and Trade Johan Forssell, along with representatives of Swedish businesses, discussed increasing investments and supporting the Ukrainian economy amid the full-scale war.
The Swedish side announced that Business Sweden, an organization that helps Swedish companies succeed abroad and operates in more than 40 international markets, is opening its office in Kyiv today.
Denys Shmyhal invited Swedish businesses to invest in Ukraine now.
"The sectors with the greatest growth potential for Ukraine are energy, transport and logistics, the agri-food sector, critical materials, IT and digitalization, green transition, and manufacturing," said the Prime Minister.
The head of the Ukrainian government thanked Sweden for all it is doing for Ukraine, including supporting the economy and creating and preserving jobs. He stated that the opening of the trade office in Kyiv would be an excellent opportunity for all Swedish companies to see the prospects that are opening up in Ukraine.
