For the third time, Ukraine participated in the annual Tallinn Digital Summit, where it announced the launch of Digital State UA — a platform uniting all Ukrainian initiatives in GovTech, IT, and Tech on the international stage.
The launch of Digital State UA marks a new chapter in Ukraine's digital transformation journey, encompassing the nation’s key achievements:
- GovTech: The Diia ecosystem, with over 21 million users, stands as a symbol of Ukraine's digital breakthrough. Initiatives like Diia.Business, Diia.Education, and Diia.City highlight the country’s unique expertise in public services.
- IT: Ukraine’s IT sector is highly innovative and competitive, offering valuable solutions for governments and global organizations. Programs like e-residency, CodeUA, and Diia.City further reinforce its global impact.
- Tech: Ukraine fosters an environment conducive to investment and the development of cutting-edge global tech products.
"Digital State UA is a crucial initiative for Ukraine's tech sector. We aim to showcase our innovative approaches to the world and share our experience in launching digital products. Our goal is to attract investments, innovations, and partnerships for Ukrainian businesses. This is a step toward establishing Ukraine as a leading digital state that inspires with its technologies and adaptability," said Mykhailo Fedorov, Vice Prime Minister for Innovations, Development of Education, Science, and Technology, and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
In recent years, Ukraine has gained international recognition for its innovations and strides in digital transformation.
"We must unite the efforts of all stakeholders to communicate our success story more effectively on the global stage. Digital State UA is an innovative platform integrating key aspects of Ukraine’s digital ecosystem. It showcases achievements in GovTech, IT, and technology, such as the Diia app, advancements in defense tech, and new opportunities for businesses. This platform will not only highlight Ukraine's successes but also serve as a tool to attract investments into the IT and tech sectors. It will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and practices adaptable for other countries aspiring to digital transformation," said Valeriia Ionan, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for European Integration, who represented the Ministry at the Summit.
The official launch of Digital State UA is scheduled for January 2025. The platform is expected to create new opportunities for international cooperation, attract investors, and foster collaborative innovation in GovTech, IT, and advanced technologies.
The Digital State UA project is implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine with the support of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the UK Government through the UK International Development Programme, and the Eurasia Foundation.
