On June 1, Russian strikes caused serious damage to equipment at two DTEK thermal power plants, as reported by DTEK on Telegram.
Energy workers are actively working to address the aftermath of the attack.
This marks the sixth massive attack on DTEK's thermal power plants in the past 2.5 months. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, DTEK's thermal power plants have been shelled over 180 times. During this period, 51 workers were injured and three energy workers were killed due to the shelling, DTEK emphasized.
According to a Facebook post by NPC Ukrenergo, on the morning of June 1, Russians launched a new strike on Ukraine's energy facilities. This was the sixth massive combined missile and drone attack on civilian energy infrastructure since March.
There is damage to equipment at facilities in the Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kirovohrad, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
Emergency repair work will begin once permission is granted by the State Emergency Service, Ukrenergo noted.
