EU ambassadors today, March 13, approved an increase in military aid to Ukraine by 5 billion euros.
This was reported by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, and the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell.
Borrell wrote that EU ambassadors managed to agree on increasing the fund for supplying arms to Ukraine by 5 billion euros.
"The message is clear: we will support Ukraine with whatever it takes to prevail.," he wrote.
Kuleba expressed gratitude to EU member states and the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, for their support.
This concerns a proposal to increase the financial ceiling of the European Peace Fund by 5 billion euros for additional military support to Ukraine.
"This is yet another powerful and timely demonstration of European unity and determination in achieving our common victory," Kuleba wrote.
Now Ukraine is eagerly awaiting the adoption of the final decision at the next meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council.
