Foreign nationals and stateless persons wishing to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Special Transport Service, or the National Guard will undergo psychophysiological testing. The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the relevant regulation developed by the Ministry of Defense.
A newly established Recruitment Center for Foreigners and Stateless Persons, with specialists from the Ministry of Defense and the National Guard, will conduct the polygraph testing in a language the candidate understands.
The test will be mandatory for candidates applying for officer positions or roles with access to state secrets. It will also be required for those providing questionable personal information.
Active-duty foreign military personnel may undergo testing at the request of the SSU or their unit command.
Candidates must provide written consent and have no medical contraindications. Refusal to undergo testing may result in denial of military service.
The Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Internal Affairs have one month to update regulations following the enactment of this resolution.
