This exhibition project, from the museum series "Languages ââof War", is dedicated to the experience of Ukrainians since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine.
Mykola Lukin works in the field of painting, graphics, objects. In his artistic practice, he accumulates impressions, reflections and experiences of historical processes and cataclysms through the intimate experiences of a person, which is embodied in metaphorical visual images, and collages. The central place is occupied by man, his paradoxical inner impulses, and existential experiences.
The exhibition "Groundwater" consists of a series of graphic works, which gave the exhibition title, and the installation "Stairs".
In the graphic series, on which work began until February 24, 2022, the artist explores his suspicions and the nightmare reality of the ongoing war.
Groundwater serves the artist as an image of perceived inevitable danger.
The object-environmental installation was created specifically for the museum hall. Site-specific embodies the dreamlike nightmare of treacherous groundwater.
The exhibition project is dedicated to the anniversary of the Russian Federation's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
