Russian forces carried out a wave of attacks across several Ukrainian regions over the past 24 hours, from the morning of 22 June to the morning of 23 June, leaving civilians injured and causing widespread destruction of residential and civilian infrastructure.
In the Sumy region, Russian forces launched nearly 50 attacks on 23 settlements across 13 territorial communities. Nine people were injured, according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
In the Bilopillia community, women aged 61, 42, and 55, as well as a 30-year-old man, were wounded in a missile strike. In the Sumy community, several people were injured in strikes involving guided aerial bombs and drones, including a 57-year-old man and two women aged 35 and 47, as well as a 41-year-old man. Another 41-year-old man was injured in a drone attack, while a 44-year-old man was hurt by the detonation of an explosive device.
Authorities reported extensive damage to residential buildings, schools, transport infrastructure, and utilities across multiple communities, including destroyed houses, damaged apartment blocks, and the destruction of a trolleybus.
In the Donetsk region, Russian attacks killed three civilians on 22 June, according to regional governor Vadym Filashkin.
Two people were killed in Druzhkivka and one in Sloviansk. Another person was injured in Bilenke, within the Kramatorsk community. Authorities noted that the total number of recorded casualties in the region—4,136 killed and 9,690 injured—does not include figures from Mariupol and Volnovakha.
In the Kherson region, 12 people were injured as a result of Russian shelling and drone attacks over the same period, Governor Oleksandr Prokudin said.
Dozens of settlements, including Antonivka, Chornobaivka, Bilozerka, and Kherson city itself, were affected. Residential areas, cultural institutions, fuel stations, communication infrastructure, and private vehicles were damaged across the region.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian forces carried out nearly 30 attacks on five districts using drones, artillery, and air-dropped bombs.
One person was injured in the Bozhedarivka community and is receiving outpatient treatment. Damage was reported to homes, agricultural facilities, infrastructure, and emergency services buildings. A fire broke out in the Vasylkivka community, where one house was destroyed and 12 more were damaged.
The Zaporizhzhia region came under particularly intense fire, with 1,050 strikes recorded across 56 settlements, according to regional authorities.
Officials said Russian forces carried out 18 air strikes and deployed 769 drones of various types, mostly FPV drones. Artillery and multiple rocket systems were also used. Seven people were injured in attacks on Zaporizhzhia city and surrounding areas. Authorities reported 169 separate cases of damage to housing, vehicles, and infrastructure.
In the Kharkiv region, one person was killed and eight others injured during Russian attacks on Kharkiv city and 16 surrounding settlements, according to Governor Oleh Syniehubov. A 40-year-old man was killed in the village of Hrushivka in the Kindrashivka community. In Kharkiv city, a 48-year-old woman was wounded. In Bogodukhiv, six women aged 32 to 57 and two men aged 38 and 46 were injured.
Russian forces struck Kharkiv’s Kyivskyi, Saltivskyi, and Nemyshlianskyi districts using drones, while also deploying missiles and multiple types of UAVs, including Lancet, Molniya, and FPV drones. Infrastructure damage was reported across multiple districts, including private homes, vehicles, administrative buildings, buses, commercial facilities, elevators, and industrial sites.
