In 2024, Ukraine reached pre-war export levels of $24.5 billion, which accounted for 59% of total exports. This marks the second historical record (in 2021, the corresponding figure was $27.7 billion). Overall, last year Ukraine exported 78.3 million tons of agricultural products.
This was reported by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Vitalii Koval.
The largest share was sunflower oil, making up 21%. Almost 6 million tons were exported, worth $5.1 billion.
In second place was corn, also at 21%, with 29.6 million tons exported, valued at $5 billion. Wheat came third, at 15%, with 20.6 million tons exported, valued at $3.7 billion.
Other leaders included rapeseed at 7% (3.8 million tons worth $1.8 billion), soybeans at 5% (3.4 million tons worth $1.3 billion), and meal and residues from plant oils and fats extraction at 4% (4.7 million tons worth $1 billion).
Meat and poultry products accounted for 4%, with 447,000 tons exported worth $958 million. Barley (3.3 million tons worth $557 million) and sugar (746,000 tons worth $418 million) each made up 2%.
