In June 2024, Ukraine imported 858.3 thousand MWh of electricity, which is 91% more compared to the previous month. During June, there was no electricity export from Ukraine, according to ExPro monitoring data.

Hungary accounted for the largest share in the import structure at 41.6%, while Moldova had the smallest share at 7.7%. The most significant increase in electricity imports in June was observed from Poland, rising 2.4 times compared to May to over 138 thousand MWh.

On average per day, Ukraine imported 28.6 thousand MWh of electricity. The peak of imports occurred on June 15th, reaching 35.6 thousand MWh. As reported earlier by ExPro, in May 2024, Ukraine imported 448 thousand MWh of electricity. According to ExPro Electricity Monthly, the average price of electricity imports in May reached $127/MWh.
