In the Cypriot city of Paphos, the Ukrainian House—a cultural center designed as a gathering place for Ukrainians—was officially opened.
The event was attended by the Ukrainian ambassador, Serhiy Nizhynskyi. In his welcoming speech, he emphasized the importance of Ukrainians abroad freely expressing their national and cultural identity, promoting the Ukrainian language in public spaces, and sharing information about events in Ukraine.

The ambassador presented a gift to the founder of the Ukrainian House, Yuliia Piddubna: a rapeseed flower and postage stamps featuring the flower. According to the embassy, this symbol was chosen at the state level to represent the resilience of those affected by violence and to remind of the brutality imposed by the occupant.
Ambassador Nizhynskyi also visited the center’s activities and kindergarten, and toured the exhibition of national costumes.
