Unfortunately, the number of casualties from the Russian shelling of the Odessa coastline on April 29th has increased to 8 people. Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, reported this.
"Today, a 4-year-old girl named Zlata passed away in the hospital. A fragment from a Russian missile struck the child's heart. Our medical staff fought until the end... I express sincere condolences to the family. There is nothing more tragic than the death of a child," he emphasized.
The Odessa Journal extends its condolences to the parents and family of little Zlata.
It's worth noting that on the evening of April 29th, Russia attacked Odessa with a ballistic missile Iskander-M containing cluster munitions. The projectile exploded in the air, and its fragments with clusters scattered along the Odessa coastline, where many vacationers were. Over 30 people were injured, and four died almost immediately.
