8 more illegally deported Ukrainian children have been returned from occupied Crimea. This was reported on Telegram by Darija Zarivna, advisor to the head of the President’s Office and operational director of the President of Ukraine’s initiative Bring Kids Back UA.
According to Zarivna, the story of these children is an example of the systemic cruelty of the Russian forces. The children were forcibly taken from their mother while she was in the hospital, with threats forcing her to send them to an orphanage.
"In the institution, the children were bullied, forced to participate in propaganda activities, and military-oriented clubs where they were taught how to handle weapons and prepared for war. All of this is part of Russia's policy aimed at destroying Ukrainian identity," emphasized the advisor to the Head of the President’s Office.
She also thanked Save Ukraine for their assistance in organizing this rescue mission and their tireless work on behalf of Ukrainian children.
A total of 1,037 illegally deported Ukrainian children have been returned from Russia, over 450 of them in the last year.
