The documentary film "Roses. Cabaret Film" about the music-theater collective Dakh Daughters has been released online on Takflix.
It's a documentary musical by director Irena Stetsenko about seven actresses from the Kyiv theater "Dakh" who conceived the Dakh Daughters Band project.
At their first solo show "Roses," they presented a modern interpretation of cabaret art that entertains the audience with serious themes.
"The Revolution of Dignity and the war in the East reveal heroines in the nuances of characters, worldviews, and creative reflections," writes Takflix.
The musical features compositions such as "Roses" (with lyrics by Shakespeare and Ukrainian folk songs), "Take" (with lyrics by Serhiy Zhadan), and "Cigarettes" (with lyrics by Mykhailo Semenko).
The film is available for viewing worldwide with English, Polish, and German subtitles. Takflix donates 10% of each ticket to the "Come Back Alive" fund, while 50% goes to the creators.
