On the night of June 18 (starting at 11:00 p.m. on June 17), the Russian forces launched an attack using 58 strike UAVs of the Shahed type, as well as various types of decoy drones, from the directions of Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, and Chauda in occupied Crimea.

The main targets of the attack were the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions.

The aerial assault was countered by Ukraine’s air defense units, including anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare (EW) units, drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

As of 08:30 a.m., air defense neutralized 30 Shahed drones and other UAV types in the eastern and northern regions. Of these, 12 were shot down by direct fire, and 18 were either lost or suppressed by electronic warfare systems.

Russian airstrikes hit nine different locations.
