The Ukrainian defense forces destroyed all Shahed attack drones used by Russian forces in the night of April 16th to attack Ukraine.
This was reported by the Commander of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykola Oleschuk.
The Lieutenant General specified that on this night, the Russian forces used 9 kamikaze drones, launched from Cape Chauda in occupied Crimea, for the attack. Combat operations to repel the attack were conducted in the territory of six regions.
"All nine 'Shahed' drones were destroyed by mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defense Forces of Ukraine within the territories of the Kherson, Mykolaiv, Khmelnytskyi, Poltava, Cherkasy, and Dnipropetrovsk regions," Oleschuk noted.
