Alterra Group announces the start of construction of the PERETYN logistics center near Lviv. The center will be located at the intersection of important logistics routes and will include a shopping center spanning 50,000 square meters. The project will create over 700 jobs, with the first phase scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2025.
The Alterra Group team researched logistics centers in Europe and gathered the best ideas for commercial real estate to implement them in one place and adapt them to the Ukrainian context.
The project's symbol is the "impossible" Penrose triangle, whose sides never fully connect until viewed at the correct angle. This symbolizes the approach to the PERETYN project.
For commercial activities, they plan to build retail premises covering 3,000 m² and a frozen storage facility of 6,000 m². The area for warehouses "A" and "B" totals 21,000 m², while the area for warehouses "0" is 20,000 m². A distinctive feature of the project is Ukraine's first wooden warehouse, which is environmentally friendly and reduces CO2 emissions. To ensure fire safety, CLT (Cross-laminated timber) technology and additional fire-resistant coatings were used.
"CLT technology ensures high fire resistance thanks to massive panels and columns," explains Oleksiy Pakhomov, the project's architect.
Alterra Group is a Ukrainian company specializing in development and management of commercial real estate "turnkey." The company's portfolio includes 43 properties totaling 175,000 m², including warehouses, production complexes, business centers, and retail and entertainment centers.
