Approved draft law on responsibility for violating the curfew

The draft law on establishing administrative responsibility for violating the curfew has been approved by the Verkhovna Rada in the first reading. Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Bogdan Drapiy reported this.

The proposed fines for violations are as follows:

For individuals: UAH 8,500 - 17,000; for repeated violations: UAH 17,000 - 34,000.

For businesses: UAH 51,000 - 102,000; for repeated violations: UAH 170,000 - 340,000.

Cases that are not considered curfew violations include:

  • If a person is heading to/from shelters during an air raid;
  • Escorting the wounded or seriously ill;
  • Engaging in evacuation or property rescue activities;
  • Providing medical (pre-medical) assistance;
  • Being in a state of extreme necessity.

Bogdan Drapiy emphasized, "Thanks to the authors of the draft law and members of the relevant committee for productive cooperation and considering the proposals of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the National Police."
