Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna and Italian Ambassador to Ukraine Carlo Formosa have agreed that European integration will be one of the fundamental issues at the Ukraine Recovery Conference, which will take place in Rome next year.
This was reported by the Italian Embassy in Ukraine.
"The interlocutors agreed to designate European integration as one of the fundamental issues of the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025, which will be jointly organized by Rome and Kyiv," the Italian diplomatic mission stated.
The ambassador highlighted Italy's political support for Ukraine’s European integration and emphasized that this progress is occurring faster than anticipated due to the prolonged Russian aggression.
“A stabilized and EU-integrated Ukraine aligns with both European interests and Italy’s national interests,” the diplomat stressed.
In turn, Stefanishyna expressed gratitude for Italy's support of Ukraine’s European path, both since the country was granted candidate status and during the formal start of EU accession negotiations.
