Russian forces continue offensive operations simultaneously on several front sections, with the Avdiivka-Pokrovsk direction remaining the primary focus for Russian military efforts.
This information comes from the UK Ministry of Defence via Twitter (X).
"The Avdiivka-Pokrovsk direction in Donetsk region likely remains central to Russia's efforts, and accordingly, Russian forces have maintained the highest operational tempo there over the past month," the update states.
British intelligence noted that Russian troops have continued advancing north and west from Ocheretyne towards Pokrovsk. They also made slight progress towards the village of New York, a well-fortified area and the last point of the front line that existed before Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022.
The UK Ministry of Defence suggests that Russian forces may have taken a tactical pause in the Chasiv Yar area for reconnaissance.
"Near the town of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk region, there have been no significant changes in territorial control. It has been reported that the main attacks by Russian infantry have ceased in the last few days and that Russian forces are mainly operating in scattered small, foot patrols," the intelligence notes.
