In Russia, from 2022 to 2023, a record increase in the number of Russian men with disabilities aged 31-59 was recorded.
This was reported by the Twitter account of the Ministry of Defense of Britain.
According to intelligence, based on an analysis of data from the Pension Fund and the Social Insurance Fund of Russia, the territory of the terrorist country had 1.67 million men with disabilities aged 31-59 in 2022.
In 2023, the aforementioned figure increased by 507,000 or 30%. According to Russian demographers, the increase in the number of men with disabilities is likely associated with the war in Ukraine.
"This is almost certainly the case. A significant majority of the over 355,000 casualties that the Russian Armed Forces have suffered as a result of the conflict in Ukraine have been wounded personnel," the intelligence adds.
British intelligence also reminds that the average daily number of Russian casualties increased since the beginning of the Russian offensive in the fall of 2023.
"The record rise in men with disabilities aged 31-59 and wounded personnel will have a significant impact on the Russian medical and social services," the press service notes.
