The average daily losses of the Russian army in the war against Ukraine reached a new record high in November.

This was reported on social media by the UK Ministry of Defence, citing intelligence data.

"The average daily Russian casualties (killed and wounded) in the Russia-Ukraine conflict reached a new monthly war high during November 2024. According to the Ukrainian General Staff's report, the average daily losses amounted to 1,523 people. This marks the third consecutive month in which Russian forces have set a new record for daily casualties. On November 28, a new daily loss record was also recorded – 2,030 people in one day, and for the first time, losses exceeded 2,000 in a single day," the ministry stated. It added that in November 2024, Russia's total losses amounted to 45,680 people.

According to British intelligence, the high level of losses likely reflects the rapid pace of Russian offensive operations.
