In the Russian leadership, there is likely concern about protests by the families of mobilized individuals, and they are trying to suppress them in various ways.
This information is outlined in an intelligence review from the Ministry of Defense of Britain.
Following small protest actions in Moscow in November 2023, it seems that the Russian authorities have begun to restrain subsequent events, according to the review.
Analysts note that investigations into non-state information resources in Russia, as well as comments from protesting wives, indicate that relatives are now offered higher payments in exchange for their silence.
On November 27, one group of mobilized wives published a manifesto against "indefinite mobilization," and within a few days, they began to be labeled as a "fake organization."
"The authorities are likely particularly sensitive to any protests related to those citizens mobilised in September 2022, who have now been at the front line for over a year," the intelligence report emphasizes.
