The military-technical cooperation between Iran and Russia causes serious concern for the United States.

Russia is helping Iran develop its missile program in exchange for deliveries of drones for the war against Ukraine. CIA director William Burns stated this in an interview with CBS.

According to him, the alliance between Iran and Russia is developing rapidly, which is alarming.

“The Iranians have already provided the Russians with hundreds of military drones that they use to inflict pain on Ukraine's civilian population and civilian infrastructure. We know that they have provided ammunition for artillery as well as for tanks,” Burns said.

At the same time, the CIA "sees signs" that Russia is offering to help Iran develop its missile program and is considering supplying fighter jets in exchange for further assistance.
