Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Ukraine, Ole Mikkelsen, visited one of the sites where the aftermath of a Russian strike in Kyiv is being addressed.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine shared this on Facebook.

"The ambassador saw firsthand the consequences of the combined attack on the capital and the work of DSNS units conducting search and rescue operations at the scene of the tragedy," the DSNS stated.

He expressed deep condolences regarding the tragic events that occurred on the night of July 31 against the civilian population of Ukraine.

"The ambassador emphasized that the entire civilized world must know what is happening today in Kyiv — the capital of a European country located only two hours’ flight from Copenhagen," the State Emergency Service highlighted.

Mr. Mikkelsen assured continued support for Ukraine from the Kingdom of Denmark and stressed that his country stands and will continue to stand alongside the Ukrainian people during this difficult time.

State Emergency Service Head Andriy Danyk thanked Denmark for its long-term and consistent assistance, noting that it is precisely because of such support that Ukraine will endure in this war.
