In August, the Russian forces carried out about 5,027 assault operations, which is fewer than in July, June, and May, according to the report by DeepState.

Overall, the intensity of attacks in August decreased compared to the previous three months.

This is primarily due to the rotation of Russian units. It is no secret that in the Dobropillia direction, the Russians redeployed four brigades and one marine regiment. They are reinforcing the Zaporizhzhia direction and conducting rotations in the Kramatorsk and Dnipro sectors. The Kursk (Sumy) sector has been weakened, as confirmed by only 126 assault operations recorded there since August 13.

The Russian forces were most active in June on the Pokrovsk sector, accounting for 33.3% of all attacks. High intensity also persisted in the Lyman sector (17.1%) and the Novopavlivka sector (16.3%)—together with other areas, about two-thirds of all Russian assault operations were concentrated here. Activity fell to 6.7% in the Kursk sector. In the Toretsk and Kupiansk sectors, the figures were 5.7% and 5.3%, respectively.

Russian forces activity is expected to increase in September.
