Russia is not considering their own forces, attempting to meet the deadline for capturing Chasiv Yar by May 9th, as stated by Nazar Voloshyn, the spokesperson for the Khortytsia Joint Forces Operation.
He mentioned that more assaults on the Chasiv Yar direction were recorded near Bilohorivka – from 10 to 15. There, the Russian forces is marshalling certain personnel. They are completing their regrouping and conducting active artillery strikes from there on the outskirts of Chasiv Yar. In just the past day, 100 mortar and artillery bombardments were recorded on this front. Moreover, there were four assaults on the city of Chasiv Yar, with only one this morning.
Voloshyn clarified that the Russia's goal is to advance towards other populated areas near Chasiv Yar, such as Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka, and Slovyansk. Currently, there is active fighting for logistic routes, he concluded.
