Denmark’s Ministry of Defence has announced its 30th military aid package for Ukraine, worth approximately DKK 4.4 billion (around EUR 590 million), aimed at further strengthening the Ukrainian Armed Forces in countering Russian aggression.
“Denmark stands firmly with Ukraine. Ukraine’s fight for freedom is also Europe’s fight, and we must not fail the Ukrainian people at the moment when it matters most,” Danish Defence Minister Jeppe Bruus said, adding that Denmark is also studying Ukraine’s battlefield experience to strengthen its own defence capabilities.
Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen said that there is “a new dynamic” on the battlefield, but stressed that this does not mean support for Ukraine should be reduced.
“There is currently a new dynamic on the battlefield in Ukraine. That does not mean we can simply relax. On the contrary, we must maintain our support for Ukraine and increase pressure on Russia in order to strengthen Ukraine’s negotiating position,” he said.
The Danish Ministry of Defence emphasized that Denmark remains one of Ukraine’s most active allies and has provided military assistance totaling approximately DKK 76.8 billion since 2022.
“Europe’s defence begins in Ukraine. That is why the government is firmly committed to continuing its support for Ukraine and, together with allies and partners, working to place Ukraine in the strongest possible position—both now and in the future,” Jeppe Bruus said.
