Ukraine plans to integrate artificial intelligence into all key sectors of governance and aims to be among the top three countries globally by 2030 in terms of AI implementation.

This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during an event dedicated to the 3rd anniversary of Diia City.

"Artificial intelligence is what will accelerate Ukraine. We aim to implement this technology in all key sectors of governance—education, healthcare, business. A special focus will be on AI for defense—from creating 'drone swarms' to information systems for battlefield activity analytics. The use of AI in combating cyber threats and Russian propaganda is also critical. Our future plans are very ambitious: by 2030, we aim to be among the top three countries in the world for AI integration and implementation," the Prime Minister said.

Shmyhal noted that Ukraine is creating an effective ecosystem for the development of innovative companies. In particular, defense-tech companies are developing innovations for defense, including smart drones, new automation solutions for UAVs, and the development of robotic systems.

Additionally, the MedTech sector is creating opportunities for the rehabilitation of Ukrainian defenders, such as scaling up the production of bionic prosthetics and enhancing their functionality. Meanwhile, EdTech is providing modern digital solutions for education.

"BioTech and AgroTech represent new opportunities in biopharmaceuticals, accelerating soil recovery post-mining, biofuel production, and innovative deep processing of agricultural raw materials to create high-value-added products. This is an important economic goal," emphasized the Prime Minister.
