The Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has signed a series of state contracts for the purchase of weapons and other defense-related goods.
The contract signing ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klymenko and Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleksandr Kamishin.
"In order to liberate Ukraine from occupiers, the military require continuous supply of weapons, equipment, clothing, and food products. The state spends billions of hryvnias on purchasing everything necessary. We focus primarily on supporting the domestic defense industry. Direct contracts with Ukrainian arms manufacturers are investments in the defense of the country and its economy. Because this means additional jobs, taxes, and support for our businesses," said Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klymenko.
In turn, Marina Bezrukova, Director of the Defense Procurement Agency, emphasized that contracts with domestic enterprises contribute to their resilience during the war.
"Cooperation with domestic businesses is of utmost importance for strengthening the country's defense potential and ensuring its independence," she said.
