Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba is convinced that Russia would suffer defeat in a war with NATO if it dared to attack Lithuania, Latvia, or Estonia. The head of diplomacy made this statement in an interview with the Lithuanian news agency ELTA, as reported by the Delfi publication.
"But look at Bakhmut, look at Avdiivka—this is how the Baltic states will look after intense fighting. This is how your cities will look," Kuleba said.
The Minister emphasized that the only way to avoid such a scenario is to provide assistance to Ukraine, which is fighting Russian aggression.
"Lithuania understands this and supports it. Others think they will be spared," added the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
"He (Putin) clearly indicated what he fights for, what he aims for – it's the restoration of Soviet Union's influence, because that's when the extent of this Russian Empire's influence was at its highest. The Soviet Union was the continuation of the Russian Empire. He's an old man. This is his last mission. He won't stop unless he's stopped. Elections, re-election... It doesn't change anything," Kuleba said.
