Ukrainian intelligence operatives used Magura V5 strike naval drones to destroy two Russian boats, preliminarily identified as high-speed transport and landing craft KS-701 "Tuna."
This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Facebook.
"On May 30, 2024, the Main Intelligence Directorate special unit Group 13 once again successfully attacked the ship and boat assets of the aggressor state Russia in the occupied Crimea using Ukrainian Magura V5 strike naval drones," the report said.
According to Main Intelligence Directorate, the special operation was made possible with the support of the global platform United24.
To neutralize the strike naval drones approaching the Vuzka Bay, Russian forces in Crimea deployed combat aviation 32 times, including Su-27/30/35, MiG-29, Be-12, An-26 aircraft, and Ka-27/29 and Mi-8 helicopters.
The Russian forces also chaotically used small arms and 30-mm cannons.
Main Intelligence Directorate recalled that since the beginning of the current year, the Group 13 special unit, using Magura V5 strike naval drones, has already destroyed several Russian vessels, including the missile ship "Ivanovets," the large landing ship "Caesar Kunikov," the corvette "Sergey Kotov," and the high-speed patrol boat "Mangust."
