President of France Emmanuel Macron assured that he would definitely come to Ukraine, and his visit would signify strong support and new directions of cooperation. Macron stated this in an interview during the national telethon United News.
"I discussed this (visit to Ukraine) with President Zelensky. I will definitely come. I have a rule: my visit should be as beneficial as possible for Ukraine. And this is how we always agreed and worked with President Zelensky," he said.
In this context, Macron reminded that during Zelensky's visit to Paris on February 16, an agreement on security guarantees was signed, demonstrating "solidarity to all other European countries and the need for a new impetus in supporting Ukraine."
According to the President of France, he aimed for concrete progress, which is why he initiated an international conference on February 26, resulting in decisions being made in several directions.
"When I physically come (to Ukraine), it will mean there will be strong support and new directions of cooperation in the areas we outlined earlier this year," Macron assured.
