At the 28th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the "Ramstein" format, Belgium, Sweden, Italy, Turkey, and Estonia officially joined the international Electronic Warfare (EW) Coalition. The new members signed an annex to the Letter of Intent.
The EW Coalition was established in April 2025 at the initiative of Ukraine, Germany, and eight other partner countries. Germany leads the coalition, coordinating efforts and creating a financial mechanism for purchasing EW equipment and services to rapidly supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine within the framework of international military assistance.
"Electronic warfare is one of the key capabilities of modern warfare, enabling the destruction, jamming, and outpacing of the enemy by a step. We expect new partners to join the coalition," said Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
The defense chief also expressed gratitude to Germany for its leadership and systematic work within the initiative.
"A strong coalition is a strong Ukraine and Europe," the minister emphasized.
