Since 2014, the export of Ukrainian IT services has tripled. If in 2014 it was $ 1.5 billion, then by the end of 2020 it reached a record $ 5 billion, according to a research by GlobalLogic.

GlobalLogic researched the growth of Ukrainian IT services exports. To do this, the company used internal statistics and data from open sources such as BRDO, Djinni and others.
It was possible to find out that over the past seven years, export earnings to the country's economy from the IT industry have tripled. So, in 2014, the income from the export of IT services amounted to only $ 1.5 billion. In 2020, it reached the $ 5 billion mark. The largest increase was observed in 2019, when export earnings increased immediately by 30%.
Also GlobalLogic investigated the change in the number of specialists in the IT market and their contribution to the export of services. The number of engineers has also tripled since 2014 and reached 213,000 in 2021. On average, one specialist brings the Ukrainian economy $ 22,000 a year.
In general, the number of engineers at various levels is growing by 20% per year. However, the need for qualified personnel is more than 30%. And this figure is constantly increasing. According to the data of the portal IT Djinn, since the beginning of 2021, the number of vacancies for the first time exceeded the number of candidates. For example, in May the number of vacancies was 20,000, and applicants - 16,000.
