Instructors from Canada, as part of the UNIFIER training mission, are teaching Ukrainian military personnel complex medical skills. Specifically, those that increase soldiers' chances of survival after injury.
This was reported by the Facebook page of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Ukrainian servicemen, undergoing intensive training under the guidance of Canadian instructors and instructors from the medical training unit of the UNIFIER training mission, use mannequins to practice complex medical skills, such as placing an intravenous cannula or an intubation tube," the report says.
The General Staff noted that these skills help ensure that wounded soldiers have a better chance of survival after combat injuries.
Moreover, the corresponding training also takes place in the dark. This, in turn, helps Ukrainian Defense Forces soldiers to practice their skills in adverse conditions.
