Germany is delivering two complete Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine, with the first launchers already on the ground, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced at the start of the 30th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Rammstein format.

“In addition to the continuous supply of weapons systems and ammunition, Germany is currently delivering two full Patriot systems to Ukraine. The first launchers have already been delivered,” Pistorius said.

In a separate announcement, Pistorius revealed that Germany has signed contracts worth €300 million with defense industry enterprises for the production of long-range drones.

“Germany is launching a new ‘deep strike’ program and is strengthening support for the procurement of long-range drones together with the Ukrainian defense industry. As part of this initiative, we are signing a series of contracts with Ukrainian enterprises totaling €300 million. These contracts provide for the supply of several thousand long-range drones of various types, produced in Ukraine. They are flexible and include the possibility of increasing delivery volumes,” he explained.

Pistorius called on all international partners to join the initiative and contribute to strengthening Ukraine’s long-range strike capabilities.
