This time, the naive artistic style of the GUNIA Project brand is characterized by abstraction and a certain minimalism. Compositions gain more space, become nonlinear, yet still retain their characteristic delicacy.
An alternative stylistic direction is reflected in the designs of plates, tea and coffee sets, and other ceramic objects included in the collection. Candleholders shaped like lambs echo the animalistic features of Easter, while plates in the form of eggs are dedicated to the festive symbol of life and rebirth. The colorful palette of paints marks the awakening of nature and the arrival of spring.
The basis for the designs were wall paintings from the 20th century from the Uman region, paintings by Yevmen Pshchenko, and above all, traditional patterns of Polissya and Kharkiv region pysanky (decorated eggs). Typically, pysanky decorations are characterized by symmetry, hinting at the cyclical nature of life. GUNIA Project ceramics are hand-painted by artisans in arbitrary compositions using colored glazes and gold. These designs can inspire the creation of new, innovative patterns on pysanky. Handcrafted items easily combine into a complete set, becoming a decoration for the festive table and a symbol of gatherings with loved ones.
