On the night of July 26, Russians attacked Kharkiv for almost three hours. The enemy used several types of weapons at once.
This was reported by Kharkiv’s mayor, Ihor Terekhov.
“Kharkiv was under a massive combined attack for nearly three hours. The enemy used several types of weapons at once — guided aerial bombs, ballistic missiles, and kamikaze drones,” the report says.
He added that preliminary data recorded 4 strikes by guided aerial bombs, 2 strikes by ballistic missiles, and about 15 attacks by Shahed drones.
In the Kyiv district, The Russina shelling caused large-scale fires at an industrial site. The blast wave also damaged several apartment buildings.
The State Emergency Service confirmed that the Russians launched a second strike when firefighters arrived and began extinguishing the fire. As a result, five people were reportedly injured, including three rescuers. Three fire and rescue vehicles were damaged.
“Despite the danger, the firefighters showed extraordinary courage: they rescued people from under fire and moved them to shelters. In total, six people were saved, including two children,” the statement reads.
