In Dnipro, the third rehabilitation center of the Recovery network for wounded soldiers has been opened. Over 700 veterans will be able to receive free services annually at this center.
The new center in Dnipro features a physical rehabilitation hall equipped with virtual reality devices, as well as rooms for individual sessions, psychological support, occupational therapy, laser and magnet therapy, and massage rooms.
The space is designed to meet global standards of inclusivity, according to Recovery. This includes wide doorways, non-slip flooring, handrails in the corridors, and the removal of thresholds.
The innovative simulators at the Recovery center are capable of addressing "the full spectrum of functional impairments," including those resulting from blast injuries.
"We can rehabilitate patients with both traumatic brain injuries and orthopedic limb injuries," says Olha Rachyba, the head of the center in Dnipro.
By the end of 2024, the Recovery network plans to open at least five more rehabilitation centers. This will enable them to assist 20,000 patients per year.
The Recovery network, founded by Viktor and Olena Pinchuk, has 11 free rehabilitation centers across Ukraine: in Kyiv, Lviv, Rivne, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Khmelnytskyi, Odessa (two facilities), and in the Dnipropetrovsk region (three facilities).
