In occupied Donetsk, a Toyota SUV was blown up, in which the head of the Olenivka penal colony, Serhii Yevsiukov, and his wife were traveling.

This was reported by Russian outlet RIA Novosti, Russian Telegram channels

Russian media also published a video from the scene showing the damaged vehicle. The driver's seat was the most severely affected by the explosion. Several people can be seen attempting to provide assistance to the driver.

 

 

Russian Telegram channels report that Serhii Yevsiukov, the head of the Olenivka penal colony, died as a result of the explosion. His wife is in critical condition in the hospital—she lost a leg. According to the Mash Telegram channel, 100 grams of plastic explosive equivalent were placed under the bottom of the Toyota Land Cruiser.

Previously in Ukraine, a criminal case was opened against Yevsiukov—he was accused of being involved in the deaths of Ukrainian prisoners of war in July 2022 as a result of the strike on the penal colony in Olenivka.
