In the occupied city of Severodonetsk in Luhansk region, the number of Russians now exceeds the local population.
The Chief of Severodonetsk City Military Administration, Oleksandr Striuk, made this statement during a national telethon.
"By population count, Russians in Severodonetsk already outnumber local residents," he emphasized.
Additionally, according to him, the city lacks communication.
"Unfortunately, the situation in Severodonetsk is not improving because the city continues to be fully occupied and isolated. There is no communication – neither mobile nor internet. To get in touch, people have to leave the city," said Striuk.
He noted that sometimes mobile communication appears on the roofs of multi-story buildings, but it is dangerous to be there.
Speaking about the situation in Severodonetsk, Striuk stated that there are still unexploded ordnance in the city. People try to avoid certain areas because the Russians conducted only a symbolic demining.
Despite the living conditions in Severodonetsk not improving for the local population, the occupiers try to convince the locals otherwise.
"Electricity and water supply are insufficient even for those residents who have stayed. The power grids cannot handle the winter needs," stated the head of the City Military Administration.
